SitePoint, one of the most popular sites in the world for Web Developers, announced today that it is donating 100% of the proceeds from a special 5 for the price of 1 sale of its acclaimed books in PDF format to support those gravely affected by the recent bushfires in Victoria.

From now until Friday, February 13, customers can select any five books in PDF format from the SitePoint book catalogue--valued at US $150--for the special rate of only $29.95. Every dollar raised in this sale will be donated directly to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009.

"The bushfires are a horrific tragedy that has hit very close to home," said Mark Harbottle, co-founder of sitepoint.com and 99designs.com. "The response of our staff was unanimous in wanting to make a substantial contribution, working around the clock to plan, package, and execute our best book deal ever to raise funds for those affected as quickly as possible. Our goal is to raise $100,000 USD in 3 days!"

Note: SitePoint will donate ALL the proceeds from this sale directly to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009.
