In an increasingly competitive global marketplace, keeping your technical skills up to date is critical. That's why we're excited to announce a new initiative-- O'Reilly Master Classes and Developer Workshops. These affordable, in-person trainings with our expert authors can help you improve your skills and learn important new techniques.

The first master classes debut later this month in San Francisco. You can learn directly from Scott Berkun on project management, Douglas Crockford on JavaScript coding, and Steve Souders on improving website performance.

"I'm thrilled to be able to provide the opportunity for people to roll up their sleeves and spend a day or two learning a difficult technical topic," explains O'Reilly Media General Manager Laurie Petrycki, who heads up the O'Reilly team developing the new master classes and developer workshops. "With a focus on developer activities, we're going use our brain-friendly learning techniques to craft workshops where you'll be able to apply the knowledge you've learned the next day."

O'Reilly classes and workshops will be held at various sites throughout North America. In May, Jonathan Zdziarski presents our first two-day developer workshop on iPhone forensics.
